The fruit of piety and patience
The story of Prophet Yusuf 'alahissalam, may God immortalize his story, detailed in one long letter. The twists and turns of Prophet Yusuf's journey, from starting in a dream, being thrown into a well, enslaved, imprisoned, finally becoming a minister and gathering with his family again.
There is a big lesson from this story that we need to remember carefully. What we need to believe in, under any circumstances. Worth writing down in gold ink, people say now. A sentence directly said by the Prophet Yusuf himself, the main actor in the story, who experienced difficult times and then ended beautifully.
Namely the words of Yusuf 'alahissalam:
Whoever fears and is patient, God will not waste the reward of the doers of good.
"Verily, whoever is pious and patient, then verily Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good" (QS. Yusuf: 90)
Keep Praying In Your Free Time
At the end of the story of Yusuf's letter, Prophet Yusuf 'alaihissalam prayed:
Make me die a Muslim and join me with the righteous
"Make me die in a state of Islam and join me with the pious" (QS. Yusuf: 101).
However, it's not like us who might pray like this when things are at a standstill, when debts have piled up and can't be paid, when business stalls can't run anymore, when time has run out it can't be postponed any longer.
Even Yusuf prayed like this when he was at the peak of his career, when he served as a minister who successfully carried out his mission to overcome the famine that hit Egypt at that time. When he had proven that he was not the one at fault in his case with the wife of one of the ministers in the kingdom.
My Lord, You have given me dominion and taught me the interpretation of hadiths. Creator of the heavens and the earth. You are my guardian in this world and the hereafter.
"O my Lord, indeed You have granted me part of the kingdom and have taught me part of the interpretation of dreams. (God) Creator of heaven and earth. You are my Protector in this world and in the hereafter" (QS. Yusuf: 101)
