HISTORY OF THE FOUNDATION OF FC BARCELONA, READ THIS
During the 20th century, FC Barcelona became a symbol of Barcelona, a symbol that represents Catalan identity as a nation. That's why Barcelona is said to be more than a club.
Its history begins when a Swiss businessman came to Spain on business with a number of local and British people. He is Joan Gamper who later became the founder of FC Barcelona. They both love football. Finally in the Sole Gym office on November 29, 1899 Gamper met Gualteri Wild, Lluis d'Osso, Bartomeu Terrados, Otto Kunzle, Otto Maier, Enric Ducal, Pere Cabot, Carles Pujol, Josep Llobet, John Parsons, and William Parsons. These twelve people gathered with the intention of establishing a football club and standing Football Club Barcelona.
John Gamper
Gamper was a Barcelona player until 1903. Englishman Walter Wild was appointed as the club's first president until 1901. Barcelona's first match was held at the Bonanova Cycle Track against a group of British expatriates living in Barcelona. The match ended with the British expatriates winning 1-0. The Barcelona team uniform at that time was blue and burgundy. Gamper chose blue and burgundy according to the colors of the region of Switzerland where he is from.

As a club, of course it needs a headquarters. On 14 March 1909, the club inaugurated its first headquarters in Industria with a capacity of 6,000 people. At that time Barcelona won its first title, winning the Catalan Championships in the 1909/1910 period.
In the 1910/1911, 1912/1913, 1915/1916, 1918/1919, 1919/1920, 1920/1921 and 1921/1922 seasons the championship was in the hands of Barcelona. The club also won the Spanish Championships in the 1909/1910, 1911/1912, 1912/1913, 1919/1920 and 1921/1922 seasons. Barca also won brilliantly the inaugural edition of the Spanish National League, the 1928-1929 season.
Barcelona 1903
In the year when he won the Catalan and Spanish Championship, the headquarters of Barcelona Les Corts, also known as The Cathedral of Football, was inaugurated on May 20, 1922. This stadium had an initial capacity of 30,000 people, but was later doubled to 60,000.
In 1924 the club had 12,207 fan members and this was a large number of supporters and became the foundation for its massive following today. After all, the number of his fans has experienced a downturn. Due to the 1936 civil war and the repression of the fascist regime, in 1939 the number of supporters dropped to 3,486.

The decade of the 1930s was indeed a bleak and bitter time for Barcelona. Club owner Joan Gamper died 30 Jul 1930. The start of the decade was a fatal one and the club entered a period of decline. There was an institutional crisis, many members left the club, poor match results and political pressure from Franco's supporters.
The civil war in 1936 caused disaster for Barcelona FC. Josep Sunol, President of Barcelona, was killed by Franco's soldiers near Guadalajara. March 1938 the fascists dropped a bomb on the FC Barcelona Social Club and caused serious damage.
In 1939 Franco's troops created a lot of trouble for the club, as it had become a symbol of the Catalan people. However, suffering does not always overwhelm Barcelona. During the 1940s, Barcelona gradually recovered even though it was still plagued by internal difficulties. From an external perspective, the Franco regime is still undermining. For example, in June 1943, through the referee and the police, Franco threatened Barcelona against Real Madrid. The match ended in defeat for Barcelona, score 11-1. It's just that—in this decade—it's not Barcelona if you don't make any achievements at all.
Barcelona won the national league championships in the 1944/1945, 1947/948 and 1948/949 seasons and won the Latin Cup in 1949. The latter was Barcelona's first international achievement. The competition was preceded by the European Champions Cup Title. At that time Barcelona was strengthened by Cesar, Basora, Velasco, Curta, the Gonzalvo brothers, Seguer, and Biosca o Ramallets. June 1950 Ladislao Kubala joined Barcelona and made Barcelona FC an unbeatable team.
Barcelona is very grateful to the outstanding strikers Basora, Cesar, Kubala, Moreno and Manchon. Between 1951 and 1953, Barcelona won every competition that was held such as the Spanish League 1951/1952 and 1952/1953 and the Spanish Cup 1950/1951, 1951/1952 and 1952/1953).
The most impressive was in the 1952/1953 season. Barca won four trophies: Spanish League, Spanish Cup, Latin Cup Eva Duarte and Martini Rossi trophies. Kubala became an extraordinary figure for Les Corts and soon Francesc Miro-Sans promoted the construction of Camp Nou. The Nou Camp Stadium was inaugurated on September 24, 1957, with a capacity of 90,000 spectators.

Barcelona just won the Spanish league again for the 1958/1959 and 1959/1960 seasons and the 1957/1958 and 1959/1960 Fairs' Cups. At that time Barca was trained by Helenio Herrera with brilliant players like Kocsis, Czibor, Evaristo, Kubala, Eulogio Martinez Suarez, Villaverde, Olivella, Gensana, Segarra, Gracia, Verges and Tejada.
However, in the decade of the 60s Barcelona experienced a period of crisis. Barcelona only won the Spanish Cup in 1963 and 1968 and the Fairs' Cup in 1966. Only in the 1970s did Barca rise again. In 1973, he joined Johan Cruyff from the Netherlands. The presence of Cruyff put the final touch on the golden attack line consisting of Rexach, Asensi, Sotil and Marcial. This team led the league season 1973/1974. At the same time in conjunction with the club's 75th anniversary celebration. Fan members at that time reached 69,566. During the celebration a Joan Miró poster was put up in his memory.
Barcelona returned to its golden age under Pep Guardiola, where they won many trophies. Among them are the La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup titles.
