Walikota Bogor Bima Arya mengeluarkan Surat Edaran yang berisi larangan kegiatan perayaan hari raya Syiah dan aktvitas mobilisasi massa lainnya yang dilakukan jemaat Syiah di Kota Bogor.
Surat Edaran yang beredar di media sosial itu bernomor 300/1321-Kesbangpol TENTANG HIMBAUAN PELARANGAN PERAYAAN ASYURA (HARI RAYA KAUM SYIAH DI KOTA BOGOR).
Larangan perayaan Syiah itu termasuk tidak memobilisir masyarakat, baik internal, antar desa/kelurahan atau mendatangkan anggota Syiah dari luar Daerah Kota Bogor.
Pada Surat Edaran Walikota bertanggal 22 Oktober 2015 itu juga melarang kegiatan perayaan yang dilakukan jemaat Syiah di Kota Bogor.
Surat ini diterbitkan dalam rangka menjaga stabilitas keamanan dan ketertiban di Kota Bogor dengan memperhatikan:
1. Sikap dan respon Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kota Bogor Nomor: 042/SEK-MUI/KB/VI/2015 tentang paham Syiah.
2. Surat Pernyataan Ormas Islam di Kota Bogor tentang penolakan segala bentuk kegiatan keagamaan Syiah di wilayah Kota Bogor.
3. Hasil Rapat Musyawarah Pimpinan Daerah (MUSPIDA) Kota Bogor.
Telah diwartakan, sejumlah tokoh dari Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kota Bogor dan ormas Islam Bogor pada Rabu (21/10/2015) menemui Kapolres Kota Bogor AKBP Andi Herindra Rahmawan dan Dandim Kota Bogor Letnan Kolonel Inf Mukhamad Albar untuk meminta aparat keamanan melarang kegiatan gerombolan Syiah di Bogor.
Surat Edaran Walikota Bogor yang melarang kegiatan Syiah ini mendapat kecaman dari aktivis JIL di media sosial.
"Pak @BimaAryaS melarang Syiah? Dari sudut NKRI: Ngawur. Dari sudut Islam: Picik. Dari sudut Paramadina: Malu2in," tulis salah satu aktivis JIL @sahaL_AS di twitter, Jumat (23/10).
Namun banyak yang mendukung langkah tegas Walikota Bogor ini.
"Pak Bima jgn digubris omongan Sahal, lanjutkan saja," komen @dmaryant.
"Betulll," @Juang_Modjo memberi dukungan.
"PICIK dari sudut "Islam" mana..?? ;D *mondokmaning*" cuit @ZAEffendy mengomentari Sahal.
